PCJ Challenge #8 and Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Yes it's my birthday today. My boys woke me up nice and early to wish me a happy birthday and to give me my presents (that I wrapped last night) and the cards that they had made me!! We are going to my sisters for dinner (which I'll probably be at when this goes live) and the boys have both made cakes which I have not seen so looking forward to seeing what they have created!! :) I'm taking the boys to see the Monster Trucks with some of my family on Saturday nighht so my birthday celebrations will be extending over a couple of days as they should be...:)

That's not the reason you're here to visit though is it? Yes it's time for another challenge at Paper Crafting Journey and we are so super excited to be sponsored by the most talented Elisabeth Bell. Elisabeth designs for a number of companies but we were lucky enough to use a couple of her digi's which you can get from her digital collection. Now the theme this week is Vintage and I'm not great with this sort of theme so not really sure if I've captured the Vintage look or not!!! I've done what I thought was vintage though and love how it turned out regardless. :)

I used Elisabeth Bell's "I Love you This Much" and decided to print her out on kraft stock and leave her uncoloured and I actually love the look! I distressed around the edges of everything with walnut stain distress ink and black memento ink, I think this is the first time I haven't added bling, buttons or ribbon!!
Now don't forget that Paper Crafting Journey has moved to a new home HERE. So head on over and check out the new blog if you haven't already and while you there check out what the rest of the DT have created!!!
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Simon says Stamp  - Anything Goes
* Whimsy Stamps - Distressing
* Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes + Kraft
* Wags n Whiskers - Anything Goes

Elisabeth Bell's World April/May challenge!!

Well another eventful day in the life of Alethea.. Last night I went to get some groceries from the supermarket and on the way home got hit by a car and to top the night off the car drove off so I have to pay the excess on my insurance!! So it ended up being an expensive shopping trip.. I've had headaches all day wondering if I could have done something differently but at the end of the day my main concern was my kids. I had the choice of stopping my car in the middle of a bridge in peak hour traffic or quickly driving to the next intersection and turning around so I did the latter but by then the car that had hit me had gone!! Anyway, there is no point dwelling on it I know but it is still bothering me!!! And me and the boys are fine, just damage to the car thankfully!!

Anyway, today brings the start of a new ElĂsabeth Bell's World Challenge - "Spring is in the Air"so we want to see lots of flowers and spring time colours!!!
I used Little Rapunzel which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection along with many more adorable images!!!
I followed the Mojo Monday sketch and got a chance to use up some of my scraps. I coloured Little Rapunzel in with Tria markers. The sentiment is also an Elisabeth Bell stamp from WOJ from the 2010 Spring Kit!! To finish off the card I added flowers and kindyglitz!!!Head on over to the EBW Challenge Blog and check out what the rest of the DT have created!!

I am entering this into the following Challenges

* Tuesday Throwdown - use some Sparkle
* Belle's n Whistle - Spring is in the Air

A & T Designs Sketch Challenge #3

Yesterday saw the start of me trying to be more organised. I am so addicted to my computer, looking at blog's and facebook that it has taken over my life so I decided that it was time to do something  about it!!!
So I started back on my health kick with weekly goals and a long term goal, got back in the pool doing aquarobics/swimming and made a daily to do list to keep me on track!!!
Got through yesterday ok so hopefully that's a sign of things to come!!! I'm feeling motivated again and really do want to be organised, spend more time with my kids and keep my house tidy!!
So my computer wil be first thing in the morning then not till the kids are in bed. It's going to be tough but I need to do this!!
Anyway, it's time for a new sketch over at A & T Designs and this is what I got to create with:

I used an Emerald Faeries Garden image - Ashee for my card and I just love the way it turned out!! I said to a friend yesterday that I want a baby so that I can receive the card, that's how happy I was with it!!! :)

 I coloured Ashee in with Tria markers and pulled out my H2O's which have been neglected for awhile and coloured the wings in! The mushrooms and sentiment were also coloured in with Tria markers!! I added crystal effect to the dots on the mushrooms so they stood out more and I just love the effect!! I did some faux stitching around the image (which is just as bad as my real stitching ) then just added some buttons and stars!!!
So now that you've seen my card why not head on over to the A & T designs sketch challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT have created.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Lexi's Creations - Use your punches and Dies
* One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes
* 2 Sisters - Use a Digital Image
* Fussy and Fancy - Punches and Dies

Welcome to The Digi Bell's Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Penni's Blog then you are in the right spot but if you have just stumbled across my blog then why not join in the fun and head on back to the start at The Digi Bell's Blog!! There are gorgeous prizes to be won and lots of inspiration to see so don't miss out!!!
So I bet your wondering what the new image is that Elisabeth Bell has dazzled us with? Well she has outdone herself again ( I think I say that every month).. with two adorable images... which you can get.. along with all Elisabeth's digi's here at Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection.

PEEK A BUNNY

EASTER BASKET

I decided to try my hand at merging the two images after seeing a tutorial on it awhile ago on Debbie Pamment's Blog. I had to do it a few times but I love the way it turned out and will definitely have a go at merging images again!!

I used Stampin Up papers that I have had for ages, coloured Peek a Bunny and the Easter Basket with Tria markers, assembled the card and added all the embellishments!! I think this is the first card I've made in awhile that I haven't followed a sketch. So that's it from me... Head on over to Wendy's (AKA Mrs .B) Blog and be dazzled by her creation. If you get lost along the way then head on back to the Digi Bell's Blog and while you are there why not check out the GDT call we have going at the moment!!

It's time for a new challenge at The Emerald Faeries Challenge Blog and this fortnight we want to see you "Dazzle It". Yep, my favourite - use pearls, rhinestones and glitter!!

I followed the Seems a Little Sketchy sketch using Kaisercraft Papers. I coloured Ebony in with Tria markers and added kindy glitz to her wings and the mushroom. I then made some flowers and stamped a LOTV sentiment on the tag!! Rhinestones were added and the whole card sprayed with vanilla shimmer smooch spritz!!

One for the Boys - Digi Bell's DT!!

If all goes well, this has posted while I'm away visiting friends!! It's my turn to post on The Digi Bell's Blog and today's card features Toot Toot, Li'l Cowboy and Duckie which you can find here in Elisabeth Bell's digital Collection.

All the images are coloured in with Tria markers!! I kept the card simple by using Kaisercraft paper, sticking the images onto ribbon and adding some buttons!! Nice and simple but looks great!!
Sorry for the short post!!

Time for a new PCJ challenge

Hello everyone... Just a quick post from me today!! I am in Mt Dandenong staying with friends for a few days so hopefully blogger has been kind and posted this as scheduled!!
It's challenge day at PCJ and hopefully you have found our new challenge blog HERE!! We are already at challenge #7, where has the time gone? So for this challenge we are being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and we're asking you to use at least 3 patterned papers. This is actually the second card I made for this challenge, the first one I made, I realised I'd not used the 3 patterned papers that I had got out!!
So spent yesterday making this one!!
I already had this Elisabeth Bell image "Happy Mail"from Belles n Whistles coloured up so made things a bit easier!! It is coloured in with Tria markers and glitter pens!! I used Core'dinations patterned papers and paper  from my stash and followed the Sketchy Colours sketch I added some embellishments, made some flowers and butterfly shrinkies.
That's it from me but don't forget to head on over to the NEW Paper Crafting Journey challenge blog to see what amazing creations the DT have got for you!!
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Belles'n'Whistles - Butterflies

Guest Design Team Member at Emerald Faeries Challenge Blog

Happy Belated Easter everyone.I hope you all had a wonerful weekend with family or friends and didn't over indulge on chocolate too much!! We spent Easter down at my mum's with my family and had our annual Easter egg Hunt!! Mum hides over 1000 eggs and we all race around the house pulling furniture etc apart looking for all the eggs!! The kids have an absolute ball as do us big kids! :)
So a couple of weeks ago I applied for a DT position at The Emerald Faeries Garden and I was asked to be a Guest designer for the next couple of months. As it's school holidays here at the moment and I was away when invited to be a Guest DT I have missed a couple of challenges so this is my first!!!!
There is now a Sketch challenge Blog and this is the second sketch!!

And here is my card:
I used Willy and Mia for my card and coloured them in with Tria markers!! I 3D'd their wings, hats and Mia's Skirt just to give the card a bit of depth but you can't really see it from this photo!! (I might have to go out in the freezing cold and take another photo!!). I used Crate Paper SB paper and used the colours from that to colour the image. I put the card together following the sketch then added some embellishments to finish off the card!!
Want to join in this Sketch challenge? Well head on over to the The Sketch challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT have created and see what you could win if you join in!!
Thanks to all the girls over at EFG for having me!!!

A Tasty Read as recommended by Elisabeth Bell!!

 While I was down at the beach for a few days, I was sitting by the pool side reading Twilight (as suggested by Elisabeth Bell) (and watching the kids in the pool of course) :) and thought that I would make a new bookmark but decorate both sides because otherwise you always have to end on a page that is on the left side for your bookmark to look right!! Not sure that that makes sense but in my head it does.. Anyway, usually when you make a corner bookmark you decorate the front and just the corner on the back of the bookmark but I too this a step further and decorated both sides - did like a mirror image... So I used "A Tasty Read" which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection.

It's not a perfect Mirror image because honestly I'm just not perfect!! LOL!!!. I coloured A Tasty Read in with Tria markers and used a glitter pen on the apple. I cut the image out from her sitting on the tree stump and sat her on a stack of books which are from an image that I have cropped from Elizabeth Dulemba's Blog. The paper is from Hot Chocolate and I then just added embellishments!! Not too sure about the sentiment that I typed up and put on the flower but I guess it's ok!!!
Well thanks for stopping by today!!
I am entering this into the following challenges:
* Diva's By Design - Anything Goes
