Paper Crafting Journey Inspiration Challenge with JellyPark!!

Hello and welcome to another Paper Crafting Journey challenge!! This fortnight we are sponsored by Claire Keays from Jelly Park.

Jellypark are supporting Little Havens Hospice this year and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these stamps will be donated to the Charity! How fab is that? It's not often you see something where 100% goes to the Charity!

So this challenge is an inspiration challenge and we have this fabulous image to draw inspiration from:

However this photo inspires you is fine with us! It might be the colours, the cakes, the shop... It's totally up to you!!
Here is what I created!!
Sorry the picture isn't that great! I took it last night and today when I went to take another photo in daylight my camera decided to play up so this was the best pic out of the bunch I took!! I uded the colours from the inspiration photo as well as the shop! I used three Jelly park images -  cake shop, bunting and girl and cake!. I coloured them with tria markers and went over all the windows and door with Crystal effects to give it a glass look!! YOu can't really see it in the picture though!! I kept the rest of the card simple so the images could stand out!! I just used cardstock, embossed the green CS, then added the cupcake transparent over the green and to finish off the card, added buttons!!

Before I let you go check out the rest of the DT creations on the PCJ blog I just wanted to let you know that as of our next challenge on the 12th April we will be broadcasting from a new blog... Here is the address http://papercraftbliss.com/thejourney . there is not much to see just yet but why not hop on over there and become a follower now so you don't miss the next challenge!!

Elisabeth Bell's World April Challenge - Shabby Chic/Distressing!!

Wow, can you believe it's nearly April. I can't. It means I'm going to be another year older but I don't really mind!! Anyway, we're not here to talk about my age we're here to welcome a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World..  This month we are wanting to see your Shabby Chic/Distressing creations using mainly white using any Elisabeth Bell image from any of the wonderful shops she designs for or from her digital store where you will find so many adorable images...
Now I'm not too sure if I covered the Shabby Chic but I definitely went over board with the distressing on my card!! :) And my card stock was white  but because I went overboard with the distressing you can't really tell!! LOL!!
Anyway, you probably just want to see my card so here it is!
This Elisabeth Bell image is from Whiff of Joy from a spring kit a couple of years ago!! I coloured her in with Tria markers and what appears to be yellow is some kindyglitz!! I used Walnut Stain Distress ink to ink around all the edges and to stamp the script image which is a stamp from Kaszazz. I then just added my usual embellishments!! Shabby Chic or Not.. you be the judge!!

Head on over the Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog to check out what other gorgeous creations the DT have for you then join in the fun!!!! You won't be disappointed!!

I am entering this into the following challenges:
* Alphabet Challenge - D is for Dry Embossing
* Stampin for the Weekend - Anything Goes

Emerald Faeries challenge and DT call

A few weeks ago I saw Emerald Faeries Garden were having another DT call so thought I try my luck again.. hey third time lucky!! LOL!!
So I decided I may as well join in their challenge as well which is make an Easel card!!
And look what I created!!!

I absolutely love how this turned out. I know I keep saying this but since my nan passed away I haven't really felt like crafting but when I have had an idea it has really turned out better than planned and this card is no exception!!
I used the Creatalicious Challenges sketch to get me started and i just went with the flow!!I used a number of Emerald faeries images - including: Isabella, Boo and Snookie, Isla, The Larakins and Willy and Mia. I coloured them all with Tria markers and added kindyglitz to their wings. I decided to have Isabella holding Snookie and Boo and I think it looks perfect!! Was a tedious task cutting out all the little imges but well worth it!! I decided to partly copy the sketch again for the bottom of the easel card. As you can see I added lots of embellishments  and to finish off the card added kindyglitz round the card to look like fairy dust!!..

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Emerald Faeries Garden - Easel Card
* Creatalicious Challenges - Sketch
* Sweet Stampin' - Anything Goes
* Chocolate Coffee and Cards - Fancy Folds

Mad for Markers Birthday Blog Hop!!

Good afternoon! Thanks for joining us for Mad for Markers Birthday Blog hop... we are pleased you have come along to help us celebrate 2 years at Mad for Markers !! If you came here from Susan's blog then you are right on track ... If not please go over to the M4M Challenge blog to start the hop....:)
I decided to use a new M4M  birthday image - Birthday Girl (which you can get right now from the M4M online store) and wanted her to be the star of the card so kept it pretty simple!!
I embossed the base card with happy birthday, then just added a ribbon down the side, the balloon brads, added some thread for the balloon strings and tied it around birthday girl's wrist. I then just added, flowers and rhinestones!! I'm entering this into the M4M category!!
I had planned to make more but time has just got away from me but my five year old son decided he wanted to make a card with the M4M Birthday Boy image (who you can also get from the M4M online store)so this is what he created!!

Logan coloured in Birthday Boy with his whisper markers and Copia ciao marker E02. he added lots of birthday brads, pirate button and an aboriginal turtle!! :) He's very proud of his creation that he worked so hard on!!
There's no junior category but will put this into the M4M category also!!

There will be prizes for people who hop along .. hidden on blogs throughout the hop so make sure you leave a comment on every blog!

Now it's time to head on over to Sam's blog. Enjoy the hop!!!

A Little Light Reading!!

Don't you just love sitting outside, enjoying the sun and reading a good book? Well I do but with two active boys that just never happens!! LOL!
It's my turn to post over on The Digi Bell's Blog and I created a card using "A Tasty Read" which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection
Although I kept this card pretty simple, I really love the way it turned out!! Not sure where the paper is from but I used that to determine the colours of  "A Tasty Read" which I coloured with Tria markers. I then added all the embellishments..
Well just a short post today....lots to do and not enough time to do it in!!!

Digi Bell's March Blog Hop!!!

No you are not imagining things, this is my second post today!!
Today is a very exciting day as it's The Digi Bell's March Blog Hop and boy are you in for a treat today because we have NOT one but TWO absolutely gorgeous new digi's designed by the extremely talented Elisabeth Bell!! If you arrived here from Janneke's Blog then you are definitely in the right spot but if not, then head on back to The Digi Bell's Blog so that you don''t miss any of the inspiration you will see along the hop!! I'm sure you have already seen this adorable images already as you have been hopping but just in case I will introduce you to
**Li'l Lillian**
 and
**Sweet Tooth Mary**
I fell in love with these images as soon as I saw them (as I always do!!) And knew that I wanted to create two projects!! The first one I made was an altered First Tooth/ Curl box that my youngest son has in his time capsule!!  I know it's girly so only stuck everything down temporarily but in fact he loves it!

I  used papers from my scraps, coloured Mary Lou Sweet Tooth Fairy (which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's Digi Collection) with Tria markers and some glitter pens and added some embellishments!!

For my second project I had an idea in mind and finally yesterday, last night and today it all came together with a few changes along the way!!! And I just love it!! The photos aren't the greatest as I've taken them in the evening so will replace them as soon as I'm up in the morning!!

I created a Book Card (following the tutorial on Tina's Blog) using Both Lil' Lil's and Mary Lou Sweet Tooth Fairy (which you can get right now from Elisabeth Bell's Digital collection). I wanted it to look like Lil' Lil's is colouring in Mary Lou Sweet Tooth Fairy so that is why the image is not fully coloured in and why I cut off the paper from the original image!! I then just added all my favourite embellishments (including flowers from hooked on Crafts and Magnolia Crystals) around the edge! I inked around the edge of the whole card and inside with white ink. I then added all my favourite crafty supplies inside!! I thought this would make  perfect gift for a little crafter!!
If you would like to win one of thes adorable images then all have to do is leave a comment on each of the GDT//DT blogs or the second way to win will be to make a card with the challenge of " FLOWERS" and post it on the Digi Bell Blog. You can use ANY Elisabeth Bell image just be sure to link to where the image is from!!
Well now it's time to hop over to Wendy (aka Mrs. B) where you will be dazzled!! Have fun hopping!!!

I am entering my Bookcard into the following challenges:
* Crafty Catz - Red, White and Blue
* Ditzy Craftymess - Buttons or Anything Goes
* Hooked on Crafts - More than One Fold
* There She Goes - Hidden surprises

Guest DT at Raise The Bar Challenge Blog

I bet you didn't think you would see another post from me so soon!! Well I was lucky enough to be a top three pick at Raise the Bar challenges a couple of weeks ago for their twine challenge and as a result was invited to be a Guest Bar Tender this challenge, so here I am. The challenge this week is 4 Leaf Clover - so use anything in increments of 4 - 4 brads, 4 flowers, 4 images etc!!!
Here is my card:
I used the Bonjour Kaisercraft papers and rub-ons, distressed around the edges of all the papers and added, some flowers and rhinestones ( 4 of each of course)... A pretty simple card but this style is a bit out of my comfort zone and still am not sure if it's missing something. I do like the way it turned out though!!!
Well thanks to the Design Team over at Raise the Bar for having me as a guest Bar Tender!! I look forward to joining in more of your challenges in the near future!!

Firstly I would like to say Thank you to my fellow PCJ DT members for their understanding, support and kind words over the past month while I have been dealing with the death of my Nan.. I also wanted to say a big Thank you to all my lovely followers for your kind words!! They have all meant a lot and been very helpful with my grieving!!! I know I have not been creating much but you have all stuck around!!
So today brings us to PCJ's challenge #5 - "Pastels". We are being sponsored by Kenny K for this challenge.

An Altered Photo Box for The Digi Bell's!!

I am so sorry for being absent over the last few weeks but since my nan's health deteriorated (and since she passed away) I have not had the motivation to do anything never mind make cards!! I have tried to colour some images a few times to keep my mind busy but I only got as far as printing some digi images off!! But last night I decided to try again (cos I knew I had this Digi Bell's post to do and I didn't want to let the team down) and I just love what I created!!! I actually finished it yesterday and have been waiting to share it with everyone!!!
I bought some new inks for my printer the other day and they came in a photo box so I decided to alter it!! I've actually never altered anything before so it was something new for me and I think I want to alter something else now..:)

Because it was a photobox I decided to keep it as one and decorate it accordingly so I used Elisabeth Bell's digi image "Click". You can get her HERE from Elisabeth Bell's digi's!! I actually cut the little girl out with her camera and just used her as I wasn't sure how to incorporate the whole image into my idea!! I used Kaisercraft (Bonjour Collection) to cover the edge of the box and I inked around the edges with walnut stain distress ink!! I added the green cardstock to the top around the frame and inked around that too!! I added the pink dotty paper to the inside of the frame then went ahead decorated the frame of the box with flowers, rhinestones, lace, pearls and buttons. The sentiment is a rub on that I have had for a very long time and to finish off I added some butterflies!!!

I hope you like this as much as I do!!!

I am entering this into the following challenges:
