The Boys Get Creative!!

It was my sister's birthday this past week as well as my niece's 16th so the boys decided they wanted to make a card each. I was very excited when my new magnolia stamps from the rainbow collection arrived from Bizzy Becs on Friday and the boys thought the new car was the best stamp ever so that is what they created with!!!
Logan's Card (Age 4)
Logan used some of our new pirate paper that I bought awhile ago, coloured his car in with  Twinkling H20's, then added some buttons, ribbon, stickers and rhinestones. He is an embellishment king just like his mum! :)

Liam's Card (Age 6)
Liam kept his card pretty simple by using some pirate paper and just adding his car which he coloured with  watercolour pencils. He then added some hearts to the car!! :

Both boys were very proud of themselves!!

We are entering both these cards in the following challenge

* Digi's with Attitude! Challenges - Kid's Digi Day Challenge

Until Next Time... Enjoy!!  xx

May RAK Club Card

Each month we are given a fellow crafter to send a card too and we follow a theme.. It's lots of fun and nice to receive a card in the mail amongst those bills!!!So this month I received a card from the very talented Cheryl Johnson http://nanascreativeplace.blogspot.com...

PCJ Challenge #11 - Anything Goes and/or your Favourite Technique

Well the last couple of weeks have been trying due to a lot of blogger issues and the commenting issue is still not resolved as I write this!!!It's taking me forever to get this post written due to not being able to upload photos so I've had to go through Picasa and blog via that method! If comments have not been left on your PCJ challenge #10 Get well soon entry then it is possible that we could not find your post due to blogger removing it or because we just ca't leave comments!! All the entries were fantastic, so thank you for sharing!!!
So with that said... it's time for challenge #11 - Anything Goes and/or your favourite technique!!! We are kindly being sponsored by the very generous Craftie Charlie and boy wait to see what the prize is that is on offer!!.

Craftie Charlie is an online UK store owned by two longtime friends selling scrapbooking, cardmaking and general craft items. And here is a sample of what they sell:

Pretty awesome stuff hey!! Well guess what??? This is the prize that is on offer for this challenge!! I know... WOW!!!

So what is my favourite technique? I had to really think about this challenge and it took me awhile to decide what I wanted to do but in the end I went back to what I love the most (although I haven't done it for ages) is distressing and paper tearing!!! I love that whole grunge look and I think that look suits this stamp from Tickled Pink Stamps - Lil Lad Damon.

I made another side easel card, I just love how these cards look!!!

Posted by Picasa
I coloured the image in with Aqua crayons, then used a bit of distress ink over the top of it!! I used ivory card stock and distressed that with walnut stain distress ink, added the brown cardstock. The music paper is from Kaszazz which I also distressed. I added some buttons with rafia and the sentiment is also from TPS as is the guitar on the inside of the card!!. I'm not usually great at making cards for guys but I think this one ROCKS!!!
Well get your thinking caps on and show us your favourite technique over at Paper Crafting Journey...there's an awesome prize to be won!!!

I am entering this into the following challenges:
* Tickled Pink Stamps - Distressing
* Sugar Creek Hollow - Masculine
* I Did it Creations - Anything Goes
* Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - Birthdays
* Scrappy Frogs - Birthdays
* The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes

Until Next Time... Enjoy!!

Couple of cards to share!!

Wow, can't believe it's been over a week since I posted last!! i received my 72 new Tria pens at the beginning of the week so I have been colouring heaps of images to test out all the colours!! I have also made a few cards but unfortunately I am unable to share them with you yet as they are for my DT position with Paper Crafting Journey!! Speaking of Paper Crafting Journey, you still have another few days to get your entry in for the Get Well Soon challenge. There aren't many entries so you have a pretty good chance of making the top three!!!
So here are are a couple of cards I can share!!! (Did you really think I'd post with out cards?) They are both pretty simple cards but I really like both of them!!
Tilda with cute skirt was coloured in with copics but I have no idea what colours I used as I coloured her in at a craft show earlier in the year!! I followed The Sweet Stop sketch so only added a few embellishments. I actually don't think it needs anything else, Tilda makes this card beautiful all on her own!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* The Sweet Stop - Sketch
* Magnolia Downunder Challenges - Your Favourite Things (the stamp, the flower, the bling and the colours)
* Incy Wincy Designs - Clean and Simple
* Lexi's Creations - Spots and/or Stripes

For this card I used Lil Lolita Kellita from Tickled Pink Stamps. This is the first time I have coloured her up and I think she is just stunning!!I've coloured her in using my tria markers but again I can't remember what colours I used. I  must start writing them down now that I have so many!! Not sure where the papers are from, they were given to me from a friend ages ago. I just punched out the flowers and added some rhinestones.. Enough said!!

I've entered this card into the following challenges:
* Truly Scrumptious Challenge - Anything Goes ( and DT call)

That's it from me for now!!! Off to create and do a couple of blog hops!!!

Until Next Time... Enjoy!! xx

PCJ Challenge #10 - Get Well Soon!!

Where did the last two weeks go?? Lots of exciting things happening behind the scenes at PCJ at the moment but for now it's time for Challenge #10 Get Well Soon!!! Perfect for this time of year in Australia.. especially Melbourne, it is absolutely freezing here at the moment!! It was that cold yesterday that the alps had snow.... BBBRRRR!!
This challenge we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs and we got some wonderful images to work with!!! I used the Get Well Soon sentiment then added the tiger cuddling a bear which is from Just Some Lines!!! This is another card where I haven't used any designer papers!! I seem to be doing that a lot lately!!!
I coloured the image in with my Tria's ( O729, O277,O225, C119) and Copics ( B32, E57, E31). Not much else to this card!! Added some buttons and twine and distressed the edges with some walnut stain distress ink.
So now that you've seen my card head on over to PCJ to see what inspirational things the rest of the DT have made then go off and make your own Get Well Soon creation to be in with the chance to win 4 images from Meljen's Designs!!!!

Until Next Time... Enjoy!! xx

For a moment..

I thought blogger wasn't going to work again. Thankfully it is because I have two posts to do tonight!! The other post is for PCJ Challenge 10 so I will post that tomorrow but for now I wanted to share the card that I made last night!! That picture I had in my head of the card I wanted to make turned out perfectly!!!
Awhile ago I was down at Sam's ( Sew Many Craft's So little Time) and I stamped out a heap of her Magnolia images (her addiction - LOL)  As soon as I saw the window stamp I knew exactly what card I wanted to use it on - a recessed window card!!! So last night I went and found the tutorial on SCS and began to create!!!
And here is how it turned out!!!
Front view of the card
Slight angle so you can see the depth of the card

Isn't it awesome??? I coloured the images in with  Tria Markers( O225, R555, C119, G278, G724, R247, O729, BL) and Copics ( B95, E31, R24, E57, E02) and to add some sparkle I used the clear spica pen on the flowers.I also used some chalk on the white card stock to "dirty' it up a little. I added the red crystals which I got from magnolia at Christmas time and have never used and the large red flower was a prize and the smaller one's were white and pink but I wanted them to be red so I sprayed red smooch spritz all over them!! I wasn't sure if I needed to add more to this card or not but I think it looks perfect the way it is!!!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
* Anything Goes Challenge Blog - Home Sweet Home
* Top Tip Tuesday - Flower Frenzy
* Creative Inspirations Challenge Blog - Glitzy and Bling
* The Emerald Faerie Garden Challenges - Anything Goes
* Scrappy Frogs - Anything Goes
* Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Dust off your Stash ( red Magnolia crystals)
* Just Magnolia - Anything Goes

Don't forget to head on over to Paper Crafting Journey tomorrow to check out the next challenge!!! And of course to come back here to see how I made my DT card!!!

Until Next Time.... Enjoy!! xx

Working Again!!!

Blogger is finally working again so I can quickly get this card posted and then get creating again!! I have had an idea in my head for a card for ages so I'm actually going to make it tonight!!! Anyway, my sister needed a card for her father-in-law's birthday so this is what I came up  with!!

Because I was using a Tickled pink Stamps image I decided to see what the TPS challenge was this week and as luck has it, it is a sketch challenge!! I decided to keep this card simple mainly because it's for a male and I've been told many times that they don't really care what's on the card and it goes in the bin a couple of days later!! So I thought I may as well keep all my embellishments for another more worthy recipient!! LOL!! I guess I could have added a few buttons but actually liked it just the way it is!! This was my second attempt at colouring this cute cuddly wombat.. I started using my Tria markers to colour the wombat but I don't have that many colours yet (but they are heading this way as I type) so I went back to my aquacrayons and I got the exact look I wanted. i did colour his clothes in with copics and trias! All the card stock is from my scraps and the ribbon is from a prize I won awhie ago...

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Tickled Pink Stamps - Sketch
* Pollycraft Challenges - Boyz to men
* Hanna and Friends - Card without Design Paper

I'm off to create again!!

Until Next Time...Enjoy!! xx

Behind the scenes...

I have been busy working on projects for my DT position with PCJ and a few blog hops that I am involved with that are coming up in the next few months so I have not had a lot to blog about but I thought I'd share some cards that I made for Mother's Day!!!

Before I show you my cards I would just like to say thanks to Lew and Helen over at Elphine House for the wonderful opportunity to apply for a DT position. Unfortunately I was not successful but they did love my card and may ask me to be a Guest DT further down the track!! So that is awesome news!!! Will keep my fingers crossed!

So here are my cards I made for Mother's Day!!

This was my first attempt at a tealight candle holder card and I think it turned out pretty good!! I love Sylia Zet's Wee Stamps. They are so lovely to colour!!

If you would like to know what I used to make all these cards please feel free to contact me.... Unfortunately due to blogger not working properly I have been trying to do this post for the past 4 hours and I just don't have anymore time to spend here!! I need to get creating!!! Hopefully blogger is working properly tomorrow and I have some new cards to share!!!

Until next Time... Enjoy!! xx

Fingers, Toes, Arms and Legs crossed...

For what you ask??? Well in December last year Elizabeth Bell introduced us to Elphine House - a new online shop selling Elisabeth Bell stamps and a blog run by Helen and Lew up in Brisbane Australia .!! As soon as I read this I became a follower immediately!!! I even bought a stamp "Fairy Play" very early on and to be honest never used it... She was so beautiful but I didn't think I could do it any justice by colouring it, so put it aside in my stash of stamps that is forever growing!! But over the last few days I have coloured and sparkled and created what iI think is one of the best cards I have made. The reason for this is because last week Elphine House announced that they were looking for 10 people to join their DT as Elizabeth is busy creating exclusive stamps for Elphine House!!! I knew straight away that I  wanted to apply and after being successful and making the Design Team over at Paper Crafting Journey with Lisa and the other talented DT members I thought I had a shot at this one!! Well you've gotta be in it to win it right????
So here is what I  created!!!

Another angle so you can see the all the elements

Close up of the image

I coloured "Fairy Play"with my Tria Markers ( V245, R247, C119, O225, G139, O729, BL), copics (E57, E31, E02) , pearlized top coat smooch, clear atyou spica pen, and pearlized chalks.
I layered the wings three times and I wanted to give the dress a bit of life so I stamped it again and cut it so that it looked like it really was flowing!!! I was so super excited with the way it turned out that I had to share it with someone so I  took a photo of it and sent it to my most talented friend Sam!!  I then had the task of how to show her off!! I eventually chose to use The Sweet Stop Sketch because I thought she wouldn't be overshadowed with too many layers or embellishments!! (well I tried anyway - LOL!!)
I used some Kaisercraft SB papers and Kaszazz CS and made the flowers with those papers also. I used the Stampin Up eyelet border punch and I had to add buttons and bling!!
So what do you think... Good enough for a DT position!! Well everything is crossed so I will let you know next weekend when I will either share some exciting news or be a blubbering mess!!! LOL!!

So as well as making this card for The Elphine House DT call I have also entered it in to the following challenges:
* The Sweet Stop - Sketch
* Catch the Bug - May flowers and pastel colours
* Totally Gorjuss - 123
* Stamp Something  - Things with Wings
* Cute Card Thursday - Sketch ( I have used The Sweet Stop Sketch)
* Flutterby Wednesdays  - Use 3 flowers, 2 patterned/designer papers, 1 button
* Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
*  Scrap Creations - Flowers
* Tiddly Inks - April Showers bring May Flowers
