Sweet Pea Stamps meets Sketch Saturday!!

I have received 9 sweet pea stamps in the past couple of weeks from Blog candy's that I have won from Lynette at Sweet pea Stamps and Micki at Artful Expressions. I'm not sure that I can do these stamps any justice with my colouring but I decided to give it a go and i am actually quite pleased with how it looks! Not sure if my card has turned out ok but I always question what I have done with my cards!! Some days they work and some days they don't!! You be the judge and be honest!! I can take a bit of feedback positive or negative!! :) So I decided to follow Sketch Saturday's Sketch and seeing as Sweet Pea Challenge is anything goes i thought it was perfect to enter this week. In fact I ony have a few hours left to get this card in. So without further ado ...
I've used my aquacrayons and H20's to colour this image and as you ca see I spritzed it with vanilla shimmer smooch spritz ( my favourite craft item ). Papers are Kaszazz and kaisercraft and the flowers are one's I won from Jacque. And on the wings I have Rock Candy Distress Stickles.

Spring has sprung..

well, not here obviously as it's nearly autumn but everyone is waiting for spring to hit on the other side of the world!! And I ceratinly don't mind cos I love all the spring colours and all the bright cards made!! Last ight I did The Stamping Boutique Blog Hop and the cards were amazing - bright, spring colours, they were just gorgeous!!
Anyway, i was reading through all my blog updates that I get when I sign in to my blog and there were a few challenges I really wanted to enter so I went looking for a sketch and decided on The Sweet Stop for inspiration!! With their sketch this week they also have a spin to Think Spring!! i also came across another blog Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog and they were asking for creations that were red, white and blue!! I know they are not typically spring colours but i think i pulled it off to make this spring card!! What do you think?
Again I have to apologise for the quality of the photo!! I am having real issues with my camera but i haven't put it in to get fixed yet cos something always comes up. And next week I'm going paragliding so perhaps after that I will take it to get fixed!!
I am really pleased with the way this card turned out. I used american craft and kaszazz papers, not sure the company that the flower paper is from, Coloured the image in with H20's and aquacrayons. The image is a Sarah Kay Image and the butterfly is a kaszazz punch!! I think the flower rhinesones were just bought at my local craft store!!
I have entered this card in the following challenges:
* Sweet Stampin Challenge - Red, White and Blue
* Allsorts Challenge Blog - Inspired by Nature
* The Sweet Stop - Sketch with a spin -Think Spring

My favourite colour combo

Hi all, hope you are enjoying the weekend wherever you are!! I have spent all weekend sorting out my boys'rooms as well as playing with the boys. i still have aheaps to sort out but will wait till boys are at school and kinder so I don't have to clean up twice.
So this is my second card that I have made in the past week (actually it's my third cos I made a card for my brother in law to give to my sister for their anniversary but I forgot to take a photo of it!!)
I won this LOTV stamp last month from Jacque and I just love it!! I love all their stamps.. I didn't own any before i won them so they are getting used a lot!
Anyway, now that I have these LOTV stamps I can enter the LOTV challenges and this weeks theme is "My Favourite Colours". My favourite colours is green but my favourite colour combo that i do a lot when I am making cards is blue. brown and pink!! I just think they go so well together!! !! My friend Sam suggested i use this paper and use the flourish as a tree branch to hang the swing off!! Tanks Sam!! Worked well and I didn't really need to add much more so I just added the flowers to the bottom and I was done!! Pretty quick card to put together!! Well it would have been but it took ages to decided what to do then I decided I needed to redo the image cos there was too much blue!! I have the image popping out on three high mounting squares so that she looks like she is swinging!!
I will stop waffling now and show you the card!!
So I used Kaszazz papers, LOTV stamp, Copics and aquacrayons and flowers i won from Jacque also!!

I have entered this card into the following challenges
* LOTV Challenge - My favourite colours
*Pattie's Creations Design Challenge - Pets
* Guylou's Inimitability Blog - Anything Goes
* Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes
* Southern Girls Challenge - Blue and Chocolate

LOTV meets Little Claire meets CCEE Stampers plus a work of art!!!!

Just a quick post tonight as I have housework to do (BORING) but really wanted to get this done tonight as I am excited to share both my card for my challenge and an amazing cake that my sister made!!!

First my card.. I received my SWEET STUFF from Jacque (Thanks Jacque) last week and in it was a set of LOTV stamps which I was so excited about! I couldn't wait to colour them up so that night I spent the night stamping and colouring!!! Then I headed over to the LOTV challenge Blog to see what the current challenge was and it happened to be a Sketch, so I got out my papers and made this birthday card for my niece (from my sister). Turned out great didn't it??? I used American crafts cardstock, Kaisercraft Patterned paper, Kindyglitz, kaisercraft rhinestones, swiss dots embossing folder, and I used Twinkling H20's to colour the image!!

I have entered this card into the following challenges:
* Little Claire - Anything Goes
* CCEE Stampers - Dry Embossing

Now onto a work of art that my sister, Allison, created. We were asked to make my niece and brothers birthday cakes a couple of weeks ago and our eyes just lit up as we just love to bake and create in the kitchen!! My mum was insistent that i make a chocolate ripple cake so i decided to make it but instead of standing the biscuits on their side with cream in between i decided to try it the other way and lay them flat and layer it with cream!! It worked a treat and Al bought a personalised cake topper (not sure where from) to put on top!!

It was a hit but nothing compared to the masterpiece my sister produced. Al when home and looked through her cake books and decided that she wanted to make the carousel!! We went online to find a carousel horse stamp but couldn't really find what we wanted so I kept looking and found this unicorn stamp from Spesch Designer Stamps . It was perfect!!
Proud Unicorn Digital Stamp

Because we wanted it for the carousel i decided I would like to make a few changes so after i received permission to do so I cut the tail back and added a leg. You can see the end result in this photo: (Sorry about quality - had to use someone elses camera)

I coloured the unicorns in with my whispers and tria markers  and although you cannot see it I also put some pearlized top coat smooch on them also for a bit of shimmer! So that was my contribution to the cake - altering, colouring and cutting out the unicorns. The rest of the cake was all my sisters fabulous work!! And how great does it look?? It tasted just as good!!!

So what do you think? Pretty amazing isn't it!! Al did such an awesome job!! Thanks AL!!!

That's it for me today.

Until Next Time ... Enjoy!! xxx

First try with my copics

I have been very productive the past few days and that's with me going to bed earlier now that I have to be up early for school and kinder drop offs!!
Last year I went to The Picture to Page Craft show in geelong and did a quick workshop using copics and I fell in love with them.... For a long time after that i didn't think about them but then Bec over at Bizzy becs was having a copics sale so decided to purchase a few colours in consultation with Bec. Once I received them I think I only coloured with them once and just didn't like the reults and decided it was all too hard!! In the mean time my friend sam over at sew many crafts started buying Copics and colouring her images with them and I just love the way the images look!! She does such an amazing job!!! So anyway, after so long not using them I decided to give them a go and in the past week I've been mucking around with the few colours I have trying to make an image look half decent. And last night I coloured Tilda and I think I am quite happy with how it turned out!!. I'm not sure if I have used them the way i am supposed to and not sure if the skin colour is right but all in all I think it looks ok. I didn't use lighter and darker colours I just used the one colour and kept going over it so  got darker and lighter areas! My other dilemma of course was I only a have a very limited colour selection so made it hard to try and put a card to gether but in the end I am so happy with the way my card turned out.
So the ingredients for my card are:
Papers - Magnolia
Ribbon and Lace: Magnolia
Brads - Magnolia
Doilie - Bizzy Becs
Stamp: Magnolia coloured  with copics (Skin - E00, E02, Dress - B32, Flower - R20, R24, Hair - E31,E57, Shoes - E57) and H20's (socks and flecked through hair)
I punched out three daisy's and and put them together to create the flowers.
So i Guess you want to see my card!! LOL!!

I have entered this card in the following challenges:
* Copic Creations - We're Cool ( not too sure if I qualify)
* Catch the Bug Challenge - Anything Goes
* Little Claire Monthly Challenge - Anything Goes

First Day of School and a Baby card!!

My baby boy (now 6 ) :-) started his first day of school today!! I thought I was going to get a bit teary eyed when I said goodbye to him but I had such a drama filled morning that it never happened!! Last night I went out to shut my car windows but then forgot to take the keys out of the ignition so 5 hours later the battery had totally drained and so my car wouldn't start!! So thankfully it wasn't raining when I had to take Liam to school this morning so we walked. So we did, but only about 100 steps out of the house and liam was so excited about starting school that he started running and fell over and cut his knee open!! So we had to go back home and patch up his knee, then walk to school!!! I didn't stay at school long, just settled Liam in and left cos he had made some friends and went and played with them.. he was happy so I was happy!! Was excited when I went to pick him up from school to hear how his day was but all he wanted to do was go to a friends house, so off he went.. Finally came home at 5pm and really haven't heard how his day was except that he had a great day!! As long as he was happy and wants to go back that is the main thing!!
Liam's first day of Prep!!

After his fall!!
Onto my card!! A friend of mine had a baby last month and I only just found out so this is the baby card I made for her!!! Not sure where the paper is from but I've used a magnolia stamp, swiss dots embossing folder, some kindy glitz , rock candy stickles and coloured him in with Aquacrayons and chalks!!

I have entered this card in the following challenges:

* The Sisterhood of Crafters - Anything Goes
* Forgotten Scraps - Anything Goes
* Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Embossing - dry or heat
* Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Glitter (on wings and dots)

Until next time... Enjoy!! xx

challenges galore and my other new hobby!!

This is  my second post of the day!! I made this card a couple of nights ago for a male friend of mine in the UK! It was his birthday last week and I'm still to send it!! OOPPS. It's the thought that counts.. Right?? LOL!!
So these are my new stamps from Kaszazz that were in the january release! I thought they were super cute and thought I could use them for both boys/men and girls/ladies cards!! I didnt follow a sketch for this card, just thought it up as I went. But I did have the Sir Stampalot challenge in mind 'when making it which is all creatures great and small. I know the flowers are supposed to be white but thought it might make the card look a bit girly so made them red instead!! I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the "pond" and just added some buttons cos, well cos I love buttons!! :)  And as always added Kindy Glitz for a bit of bling!!

So without further ado, here is my card!!

Sorry about the glare and shadow but I took about 6 photos of this card and just couldn't get the right picture. So this was  the best out of all of them!!

I have entered this card in the following challenges:
* Fab n Funky Challenges - colour combo - chocolate and blue
* The Pixie Cottage - Sketch and/or buttons ( I used buttons but not the sketch)
* The Sisterhood of Crafters - Anything Goes
* Sir Stampalot Challenge- All creatures Great and Small
* Bearly Mine Challenges - For Men and or Boys

As I mentioned I have a new hobby and that is growing vegies!! Anyone who knows me knows that i never loved gardening but since I've been in this house (three years) I have had a lot of success (and some failures) in growing fruit and vegies!!! When I moved here there were already a lot of fruit trees including plum, apple, necatrine and lemon trees and there were also cherry tomatoes! The lemon tree has been a bit touch and go the last couple of years but this year it has so many lemons on it and I am super excited because I use lemons a lot for my baking!! So anyway, this year i decided to go a bit further and try my hand and growing a few more things. So late last year i planted berry , yellow pear and tiny tim Tomato plants as well as Popcorn plus I have been growing strawberries for a number of years. unfortunately i lost the Tiny tim tomato plant but the other three things are going just great! So i just thought I'd share what i have been picking and how great the garden looks!! Still haven't perfected it by any means but I am learning along the way and will start thinking about what i will plant in the next couple of months!
So here are a few pics to show you what i have been growing!!
These are my tomato and Popcorn Plants

My strawberry Patch with some fruit and veg I have picked

Lovely fresh fruit and veg!!

Until Next Time... Enjoy!! xx
